11 Seats - Just Like Last Time!

6.27.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sat 5th May 2007

Mid Beds Lib Dems came out of Thursday's election with 11 seats on Mid Beds District Council - the same number that were elected in 2003.

2 gains were made on the day - Alison Graham took a seat in Shillington, Stondon and Henlow Camp ward, and Peter Blaine moved wards and took a seat in Sandy Ivel. His old seat was retained by Mark Butler in Pinnacle.

Sadly Neil Cliff, group leader for many years, lost his seat in Henlow Langford after many years of hard work in his community. He will be missed on the council, and will be loss to the people of his ward and beyond. Another long serving Councillor who will be missed is Brian Collier in Stotfold, who had also worked tirelessly for people in Stotfold and Mid Beds.
