At Brighton this week, the Liberal Democrats demonstrated that we are keen to lead the way in political debate. Ming Campbell spelt out that we are a party of policy, not symbolism; of substance, not spin. He stated "We are the only party prepared to take those decisions necessary to create a greener and fairer Britain".

The party enjoyed a jam-packed conference, full of ideas, debate, and a unity of purpose that is the envy of the other parties. At over 6000 delegates, it was possibly the biggest Lib Dem party conference ever!
