Mark has campaigned for nearly 2 years - at last a result!

After nearly 2 years of campaigning, Lib Dem councillor Mark Chapman was delighted to see today that footings and post holes have been dug for a protective barrier at the Kingfisher play area in Shefford. After 2 incidents of cars mounting the pavement there, and one of them destroying some of the fencing around the site, the County Council are now in the process of providing the much needed protection. Mark said "When this is completed, parents can feel that their children will be safer in the play area. I am extremely glad that the County Council have recognised the need for the barrier, and residents who came to me in such numbers to ask for it will be over the moon."
