Labour woes keep piling up

9.55.50am BST (GMT +0100) Mon 1st May 2006

With elections less than a week away, it has been an awful week for the Labour party nationally. With 3 Cabinet Ministers under fire, the timing, ahead of local pools on the 4th May, could not have been worse. National opinion polls have been telling us who is benefiting from Labours problems. The Lib Dems have made significant progress in the local election campaign, and are clearly gaining ground on the other parties. Cameron's Tories have flat lined in the polls, and Labour are on the slide. In the General Election, seven out of eight voters who left Labour voted for the Lib Dems. It seems this will be repeated on Thursday!
