Brian Golby wants a better deal for our school children

Councillor Brian Golby has again stated that the Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) that have been signed up to by the County Council have not been of benefit to local children. "The latest disruption at Samuel Whitbread Community College is the latest incident where the contractor pays scant regard for childrens' education. They only care about their profits. These schemes have so far caused nothing but disruption, and the schools are powerless to intervene because of the details of the contracts. Our Headteachers are being removed from the decision making processes of their own schools, which is wrong".
