Neil Cliff was dissapointed by Tory reaction

Neil Cliff, Group Leader on Mid Beds District Council, this week put a motion to Full Council that would see the council consider encouraging the public to insulate their cavity walls. "I had hoped that this non political item would be seen by all as a good way to encourage energy efficiency in Mid Beds. Unfortunately, the leader of the council dismissed my proposals by saying this type of thing will be subject to a review later next year. Why wait so long when we can look at this now?" The ruling Tory group all voted to throw out the proposal to ask the Overview or Scrutiny committee to look at how other councils do this, to see if it could work here.
