After the Foreign Affairs-led debate from Bristol dominated by issues like Iraq, immigration and climate change, Nick Clegg won 3 of the 5 polls on the night, building on his position after the first debate.

They now know there is a viable alternative to the unappetising Brown or Cameron fare proffered unimaginatively by much of the media until now.

The road concerned is very busy, bearing lots of HGV traffic as well as being a 'route to school' for two schools and a Community College. Since the accident, Paul Mackin, Sheffords's Town major and LibDem party member has been calling for its repair and restoration.

Services will take a big hit too. The Council Tax increase will be one of the largest in the country. Central Bedfordshire has replaced the County Council (also Conservative) which had the second highest Council Tax of all Counties. Central Bedfordshire's Council Tax will be even higher.
